Why are we not changing our present

I have been trying to write an article about this topic for quite sometimes now until recently I discovered some common human behavior which lead why we are still in our present state. We have heard over and over again that we need to change in order to move on or be in a better state than the present. But too many of us are still in our present state.

There are many reasons that can cause these delays or reluctant to change. One of the reasons is obviously the fear to change or the feeling of insecurity of the unknown. The other reason is that we are happy the way we are now. We may say ourselves that we are not but actually we are happy.

The other possible reason is that we have not enough reason to change. To change or to shift requires a lot of effort and without a strong reason we sometimes find it hard to change and chose to stay in the present. if we can establish a good reason which is much stronger than the fear or laziness, we may find is easy. For example we can easily change job if we have a better offer from other companies, because rewards and monies proved to be a strong reason people choose to have.

If what we see on the other side are just unclear picture of encertainty and what we have now are guaranteed reward which may not be much, we still want to choose the one that can guarantee us something although sometimes we complain about it.

What we should do now is to make ourselves aware of our present situation. Make ourselves know that we are not happy, that we are suffering and there are just too many things waiting for us if we take some action to change now. Making the awareness is not easy because thoughts and emotions are often conflict with each other. And most of the time emotion wins over our thoughts. How many times we take action based on our thoughts and not emotions, I believe most of them we follow our emotion.

I will continue with another article on thoughts and emotions in my coming postings
